John Denton, a talented singer/songwriter from Salford, has been making waves in the music scene with his heartfelt lyrics and captivating melodies. Despite being only 15, John has been featured in NME, Far Out, BBC NW Tonight, Granada Reports, BBC 5 Live, BBC Radio Manchester and XS Manchester.  His journey took a significant leap forward in 2023 when he won the prestigious Johnny Marr Award, earning the support and mentorship of Johnny Marr himself. Most recently, he was selected to play for ‘The Boss’ himself, Bruce Springsteen. As well as getting the seal of approval from The Boss, he also shared his music with The Edge from U2.

John initially gained recognition as the frontman of the band The Height, releasing several singles that collectively amassed over 25,000 streams. His music resonates with a growing audience, reflected in his substantial online following: amassing 1.3m views on Tiktok with 4k followers,around 4k followers on Instagram, and 1.7k followers on X.

Live performances have included Manchester Academy, Liverpool Cathedral and Piece Hall.

Now embarking on a solo career, John Denton is set to release new singles in 2025, promising to deliver more of the emotive and powerful music that his fans love.
